“The pop tops will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House where they’re recycled and the money is used to support the families they serve,” said the flyer. “Please help by asking all your friends and family to collect for us, too.”
The nonprofit Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley provides “a home-away-from-home for families of critically ill or traumatically injured children,” said the flyer.
“The House is a place where families can enjoy the comforts of home while still being nearby their child,” the flyer said. “Families who stay with us are provided with a secure and loving environment, while their children typically receive care in neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, trauma intensive care unit, burn unit or oncology floor.”
Pop tops can be left at a box in the Municipal Building at 1 Heineman Place in Harrison.
