HARRISON, N.Y. -- The Harrison Schools are closed on Tuesday, March 8 for Superintendent's Day, so the Jewish Community Center of Harrison has rented out the Plattekill Mountain Resort.
The trip will be fully staffed with access to all facilities on the mountain, including snow tubing, ski instruction, the cafeteria and the outdoor fire pit.
The plan is for the coaches to leave at 7 a.m. and arrive at the mountain at 9 a.m.
Between noon and 1 p.m. the group will check in at the lodge and at 3 p.m. the lifts close and participants will meet for s'mores and hot chocolate at the outdoor fire pit with Rabbi Hammerman before the buses head back.
The cost is $98 for JCCH members; $108 for non-members. This includes round trip transportation on a coach bus, lift tickets and access to the whole mountain.
Equipment rental is available at a discounted rate; group and private ski lessons are also available at a discounted rate.
To reserve your place, a completed waiver and full payment must be received by the main office by Feb. 12. Check to be made payable to "JCCH."
