Harrison Library Calls on Residents With Survey

HARRISON, N.Y. - The ongoing efforts to gauge public interest have continued to surface at the Harrison Public Library. The facility's website featured a town-wide survey asking residents what the library could do to become more of an attraction.

The survey focuses on what patrons are looking for when they come to the library and why or why not their experiences have been beneficial. Click here to participate in the survey.

Harrison Public Library Director Galina Chernykh has been active in soliciting public participation since her appointment to the position in July. She held a community meeting for Harrison teens in August to see what kinds of things they would like to see at the library.

"This is very exciting," Chernkyh said. "We dream big. This community really deserves a wonderful library."

The library took a big step in developing its renovation plans last month when the Harrison Public Library Foundation hosted a free reception to mark the beginning of its fundraising efforts.

The Harrison Library is located in downtown Harrison at 2 Bruce Ave.
