Harrison Library Director Introduces Family Photos

HARRISON, N.Y. – Harrison Public Library Director Galina Chernykh and her staff are bringing a new service to local residents with a holiday feel. For the first time, families will be able to take holiday portraits together at both library branches as a cheap alternative to the classic tradition.

The library will print family portraits on a 4-by-8-inch greeting card for free on two select dates. Registration is necessary and opportunities are limited, however, residents interested in participating should sign up either at the library or by calling (914) 835-0324.

Chernykh said library staff would be working together to shoot the photos and provide the holiday prints to make the holidays more festive and affordable for Harrison families.

Family Portrait Day is scheduled for the downtown library branch at 2 Bruce Ave. on Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The same event will follow at the West Harrison branch on Dec. 8 during the same hours.

For more information, residents can visit the library website at HarrisonPL.org .
