HARRISON, N.Y. - A new art exhibit was put on display at the downtown Harrison Public Library this week featuring James Maciel's "Watercolor Landscapes from the Southwest." The work was presented by the Harrison Council for the Arts and will be available for viewing from Aug. 8 to Sept. 9.
The work includes watercolors derived from pictures taken by Maciel during trips to Southwest national parks.
Maciel is a retired social worker from Westchester County and has shown his art throughout the region. He holds a B.F.A from Swain School of Design in Massachusetts and is a member of the Mamaroneck Artists' Guild.
"Watercolor Landscapes from the Southwest" may be viewed Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
