HARRISON, N.Y. -- Parents of Harrison High School's singers are looking to the locals this weekend to join them in an upcoming fund-raiser.
The Harrison Chorus Parents Association is sponsoring an open microphone fund-raiser Saturday night to benefit the school's band and chorus in White Plains. Students and faculty members will be present to perform solos, duets and group songs.
The event will be held at Mulberry Street Restaurant at 189 East Post Road in White Plains on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Money raised will help to defray the cost of the band and chorus traveling to the Chicago National Heritage Music Festival in April.
The advance RSVP price is $55 per person, which includes the cost of dinner, and admission is $60 at the door. Residents can RSVP to Heidi Sakanaka firstname.lastname@example.org and must include how many are in the group as seating is limited.
