Harrison Parents Invited to 'Bullyproof' Children

HARRISON, N.Y. - Author Joel Haber will visit Harrison next week as part of a recent national movement to combat bullying in schools. Haber will speak at Louis M. Klein Middle School on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. to deliver his presentation, "Bullyproof Your Children for Life."

Haber, a White Plains resident, is a clinical psychologist and nationally-recognized expert on bullying behavior among youth and will discuss the bullying phenomena among children and teens. His presentation will also advise parents on how children can manage bullying situations.

The talk, supported through a grant from the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound, is open to the Harrison Community. Light refreshments will be served.

Haber was recently invited to join the advisory board of the "Stop Bullying: Speak Up" Campaign in partnership with Time Warner and Facebook. The campaign will appear across Facebook and many of Time Warner's platforms including Cartoon Network and CNN on TV, and in People, Time and Sports Illustrated magazines.
