Harrison Woman Urinates in Police HQ After Arrest

HARRISON, N.Y. — Harrison police said a 38-year old female resident urinated in the booking room of police headquarters while being questioned by police shortly after being arrested.

The police report said the woman was arrested at 1:47 a.m. May 5 after a dispute outside her home at 243 Harrison Ave. The police report said the woman continued to yell and use obscenities, despite being warned several times.

After being uncooperative in the booking room during the reading of her Miranda warnings, including refusing the arresting officer’s request for her information, she was secured by a handcuff on her left wrist and a leg restraint on her left leg. The police report said the woman repeatedly “extended and retracted” her right leg and would periodically hit her right hand against the booking wall before she urinated in the booking room.

Police offered her medical assistance, which she accepted, and she was taken to White Plains Hospital. The woman is charged with disorderly conduct, a violation. She is due in court May 15.

Drug Arrest: Andrew C. Knight, 33, of Fleetwood was arrested at 11:07 p.m. May 3 at 2125 Westchester Ave. and charged with felony drug possession.

Harrison police said Knight’s vehicle was pulled over for having a blue rear plate lamp, and an arresting officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The police report said the officer found a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance, later identified as cocaine, in plain view through the passenger-side window.

A police dog was called to the scene, and police found a digital scale in the area of the glove box containing cocaine residue.

Knight is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
