HARRISON, N.Y. -- The Harrison Youth Council is looking for help in the areas of business development and financial management.
You can make a difference by joining the group's board of directors. It is seeking community members with the following skills:
- Business Development: Learn fund-raising and business management skills that include basic financial skills.
- Financial Management: Oversee budget creation and maintenance, and oversight of fiscal books. Good computer skills and internet skills.

The Harrison Youth Council is a nonprofit that provides counseling, school services and youth employment services in English and Spanish to area residents. For a complete list of services, go here.
It is dedicated to reducing the use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs and other harmful substances by youth in the community, in part by equipping youth with social skills necessary to cope with interpersonal and intrapersonal pressures and challenges. The group works with the school districts, police and other community partners to try to achieve this mission.
