Harrison's Angarano Welcomes a New Family Face

HARRISON, N.Y. - She stepped down from her post as Harrison's Chamber of Commerce president to become a grandparent, and her newest full-time job has just begun.

Ada Angarano will formally leave the Harrison Chamber on Jan. 31, and welcomed her newest granddaughter Stevie Marie on Friday morning. In her resignation, she cited her need to be there for family after working with the Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years.

"My place is with my family now and new fresh blood needs to continue for the chamber at this point in time," Angarano said in her statement.

In the interim, Angarano said she was actively seeking new members to fill the executive board. However, she said there's been a shortage of applicants to fill the roles of president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. The chamber cannot begin its work until those positions are filled.

According to Angarano, only one Harrison merchant has since volunteered to help form a new board. More applicants will be needed before the board can function.

Those interested in filling any of the board's positions can email Ada Angarano at Harrisoncc04@yahoo.com any day before the coming weekend.
