Harrison's 'Belmont Team' is on Facebook

HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison mayor and supervisor candidate Ron Belmont and the rest of the Belmont Team launched a Facebook page in early August and has since gathered close to 200 followers leading up to November's general election.

Belmont was featured last week in a video released on the group's Facebook page as he outlined his run for the mayor and supervisor positions.

"My decision to run is based in part upon the encouragement that many of you have offered, with the sincere hope that positive change can come to our community, and in part upon my desire to serve our community and restore our once great image," Belmont said.

The Belmont Team features town board nominees Steve Malfitano, a former Harrison mayor, and current Town Councilman Fred Sciliano.

"Both have significant experience as elected officials and share my unwavering determination to make Harrison a model community," Belmont said in his video address.

Belmont Team political signs throughout Harrison also feature candidate for town clerk Jackie Greer.

Belmont (R, C, I) will run for Harrison mayor and supervisor on Nov. 8's general election against incumbent Joan Walsh (D). Howard Hollander and Pat Vetere (D) will also join Malfitano and Sciliano in the race for town board. Greer (R) will run against Frank Corvino (D) for town clerk.
