HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison's Neuberger Museum of Art was recognized this month by the Westchester County Board of Legislators with an award for being an "outstanding cultural institution" with continued contributions to the Jewish community.
Helen Stambler Neuberger, chair of the board of the Friends of the Neuberger Museum, accepted the award on the museum's behalf. She was joined by Purchase College President Thomas J. Schwarz, Ronald E. Burton of the Westchester Jewish Council, Steve Chall, Westchester Jewish Council executive director and County Legislator Ken Jenkins at the awards ceremony.
The same award was given to ArtsWestchester and the Jacob Burns Film Center at the ceremony on Sept. 6.
The Neuberger Museum is located inside Purchase College in Harrison, N.Y.
