Heavy Snow, Sub-Zero Wind Chills Hit Harrison

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until Friday at 1 p.m. with heavy snow, strong winds and dangerous wind chills in Westchester County, according to the National Weather Service.

Heavy snowfall and blowing and drifting snow will result in dangerous travel conditions.

Ten to 20 mile-per-hour winds from the North will gust up to 35 miles per hour.

Temperatures will be in the 20s Thursday night before falling into the teens. Wind chills will hover around the zero mark late tonight and as low as 5 to 15 below zero on Friday, which could lead to hypothermia or frostbite for those exposed.

Visibility will be less than one quarter of a mile at times.

Friday is expected to be mostly clear with a low around zero.

The outlook for Saturday calls for sunny skies and a high of 25. There is a chance of rain after noon on Sunday with highs in the mid 40s.
