I-95 In Connecticut Ranked Among Most Dangerous Roads In America

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn.-- Popular Mechanics magazine has named Interstate 95 in Fairfield County as one of the 10 most dangerous roads in America.

The most dangerous stretch is near Norwalk, according to the post. A total of 10 percent of all of the accidents that occur on Connecticut's 100-mile stretch of I-95 occurred in the city's 8-mile section.

A total of 735 crashes took place within the Norwalk area compared with fewer than 600 for similar lengths near New Haven, Stamford, Greenwich and Milford, according to Popular Mechanics.
