Nicholas Cleves, 23, was working as a software engineer, analyst and web developer in Manhattan after graduating from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs in 2016.

Darren Drake, 32, was former school board president in New Milford, N.J., in Bergen County who was a project manager at Moody's Investors Service at the World Trade Center.

Skidmore President Philip A. Glotzbach said Cleves, a computer science major and physics minor, also worked as an IT Help Desk assistant and tutor in astronomy.

"Our hearts go out to Nicholas's mother, Monica Missio, who is a member of the Skidmore class of 1981, the other members of his family, and his closest friends," Glotzbach said in a statement. "At moments such as these, we realize anew how powerless are our words in the face of profound grief.

"Even so, we reach out to offer our thoughts and prayers, along with the hope that knowing that others are also touched by this loss may provide at least some small measure of comfort."

Drake often rode his bike for exercise during lunch, according to this Daily Voice report Tuesday.

Frank Papapietro, a security worker at the World Trade Center who saw Drake frequently while on the job, described him as a "kind, gentle and respectful young man, a son anyone would be proud of."

A 31-year-old mother of 3-year-old and 3-month-old boys from Belgium and five men from Argentina celebrating their 30th high school reunion were the six other fatalities in the terror attack.
