Harrison Parapsychologist Gives Her View Of 2015

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Julie Reed of Mamaroneck is a parapsychologist and Reiki healer who specializes in spiritual cleansing and Tarot card readings.

Perhaps the surest news of all. The wallaby will be found in 2015, but we don't know when, where or how.

Reed typically focuses on reading the past, present and future of individuals, but Daily Voice asked her Tuesday to make some countywide predictions for the New Year.

Predictably, her forecast was mixed.

First the good news: The missing wallaby from North Salem, last seen in White Plains, will be found.

However, Reed hesitated to say when, where or how. But she is certain of one thing in 2015: "They'll find him.''

Reed said she sees a major positive shift for people throughout Westchester and Putnam counties in the coming year: "More jobs. People will have each other more."

But she also felt "a big switch" in a technological direction:

"We will be going back to home phones."

Mysteriously, Reed declined to elaborate. Could it have to do with North Korea, I asked. (A long pause.)

There will be major outages related to computers and cellphones, Reed explained, and it will mean anyone without a home phone will likely feel compelled to install one. End of interview.

Reed also practices reflexology and uses crystal healing bowls at her main shop at 418 W. Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck.

Her businesses operates under the names of Shirodhara and The Art of Astrology. Reed's other shops are located at 242 Harrison Ave. in Harrison, Elm Street in Rye and Boston Post Road in Larchmont. (Look for the storefront decorated with jewels, symbols and saints.)

Custom-made jewelry featuring the “Lucky Eye” for protection, healing and fashion is sold at the stores as well as spiritual oils, cashmere scarves, purses and sage. Reed offers free initial readings and discounts on subsequent visits. Part of all proceeds go to The Shrine of St. Jude and local homeless shelters.

Reed has practiced Reiki energy and crystal manifestation work for 44 years. As a spiritual healer, she often donates her time for such clients as White Plains Hospital, Henri Bendel, Saks Fifth Avenue or Bloomingdales, as well as weddings, parties, fund-raising events or other private affairs. She’s done readings at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck and Larchmont Yacht Club. She specializes in recovery from broken marriages, past life aggression and finding oneself.

Since much of Reed’s schedule is dictated by appointments, it’s difficult to schedule a Tarot card or psychic reading, Chakra realignment, Reiki therapy or Crystal healing on the spot.

Reed also gives one free Tarot card reading over the phone. Appointments can be made by calling 914-835-7015 or simply stop by one of her stores if you are feeling lucky, or in need of some luck.

"All predictions and Reiki are guaranteed,'' Reed said as two of her pet dogs nipped at my heels.

In May, Reed predicted an event that came true for this reporter: "You'll land a new job."

I started at the Daily Voice in September.
