Man Who Went Missing Near I-684 Located, Police Say

The missing person alert for a man who went missing after exiting a vehicle near I-684 Thursday evening was canceled Friday morning just before 7 a.m., according to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.

Bedford Police reported at 7:21 a.m. Friday that man being sought after by state police and other agencies has been located.

An alert citizen saw him sitting on a rock wall at a local high school not far from where he went missing and called police, according to state police.

Authorities are searching for a missing vulnerable adult who exited a stopped vehicle near I-684 in Goldens Bridge on Thursday evening.

Jim Vasquez is a 25-year-old male with paranoid Schizophrenia wearing blue and white checker boxer shorts, authorities said. Residents are advised not to approach him and to call 911 if located.

He was last seen near exit 6A on 684 in Goldens Bridge at 6 p.m. Thursday. He exited a stopped vehicle and ran off on foot, taking off his clothing, authorities said.

He is 6-foot-2, 165-pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
