HARRISON, N.Y. - The Neuberger Museum of Art will launch its fall season next month with an exhibit dedicated to artist Dana Schutz.
"Combining fantasy and reality, humor and horror, the artist creates figurative paintings in a distinctive visual style characterized by vibrant color and raw and tactile brushwork," the museum said in a statement.
The "Dana Schutz: If the Face Had Wheels" exhibit will be open from Sept. 25 through Dec. 18. An opening reception will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Those interested can reserve a spot for the opening reception by calling (914) 251-6125.
Schutz received the 2011 Roy R. Neuberger Exhibition Prize for an early career survey and monographic catalog.
