PELHAM, N.Y. – The Pelham Police Department will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. Monday to discuss the arrest of a suspect in robberies at the Pelham Metro-North train station.
The man allegedly robbed three people as they walked home from the Pelham Metro-North train station. He is also a suspect in similar robberies in the Village and Town of Mamaroneck, Harrison and New Rochelle.
In each incident, the man approached the victim from behind armed with a semi-automatic handgun, told them to lie on the ground and robbed them, police said. All the robberies occurred by the train stations in each community.
The man was arrested Friday morning and confessed to the crimes on Saturday, Pelham Police said.
