Police Report Harrison Pot Bust

HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison police arrested a Mount Vernon resident this week after he was found to have marijuana inside his car, according to police reports.

The 48-year-old was stopped Jan. 23 after police saw he was driving with an obstructed view. Upon further investigation, reports said that police smelled marijuana coming from his vehicle during the 10 p.m. traffic stop.

The driver denied having any marijuana in his possession, reports said. But after searching the vehicle, police allegedly found traces of marijuana in the driver's side door and also noted marijuana cigarettes in the ashtray of the car, reports said.

The man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana and was released with a return court date of Feb. 7.
