Ray Rice, Wife Attend New Rochelle HS Varsity Football Game

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Ray Rice made his first public appearance since being cut by the Baltimore Ravens indefinitely suspended by the NFL Saturday afternoon, visiting his alma mater, New Rochelle High School, for the school's varsity football game against visiting Ramapo.

Rice's appearance at his alma mater came after Rice's jersey was removed the New Rochelle High School Hall of Fame earlier this week.

Rice, who was accompanied by his wife, Janay Rice, a Mount Vernon native, and his mother, Janet, walked onto the sideline at McKenna Field holding his baby daughter prior to kickoff. Rice left the game at halftime.

Rice's release by the Ravens and NFL suspension came after a surveillance video was released earlier this week on TMZ.com showing Rice punching his wife in an elevator in Atlantic City, N.J., in February.

New Rochelle defeated Ramapo 34-6.
