Sandy Knocks Out Power To More Than 2,500 In Harrison

UPDATE: There are 2,566 people without power in Harrison, according to the Con Edison outage map of 8 p.m. 

HARRISON, N.Y. – There are thousands of people without power Monday afternoon in Harrison due to Hurricane Sandy, according to the Con Edison power outage map.

There are 1,952 people without power in the Webster and Harrison avenues area, Con Edison reports around 4:25 p.m. 

On West Street, 778 people are without power and there are 10 people also affected on Adelphi Avenue.  Another 17 are without power on Florence Avenue and six people on Lake Avenue, according to the power company.

Con Edison serves 9,470 total customers in Harrison.
