At approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday, the discharge was reported at 12 Clinton Lane in Harrison, where sewage was reportedly detected in an 18-inch drainage pipe. The discharge lasted an estimated three hours, with a flow rate of up to 50 gallons per minute.
Booms have been placed around the area of the spill to contain the discharge, and the pipe is being videotaped as officials attempt to identify the source of the sewage. Additional details can be found here.
