HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison's Town Hall building will be closed Monday morning to observe the passing of Town Clerk Joseph Acocella , according to Mayor Joan Walsh. The building will reopen at noon after the morning funeral services conclude at St. Gregory the Great Church on Halstead Avenue.
"We mourn his passing. He was a valued friend and coworker who had great courage and adversity," Walsh said in an email.
Acocella'sa wake and funeral arrangements begin Wednesday and Thursday at Coxe and Graziano in Mamaroneck from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and conclude on Friday with a 10 a.m. mass at St. Gregory the Great.
Acocella died Monday from health complications. He was awaiting a kidney transplant at the time of his death.
