WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A pair of accidents on I-87 on both sides of the Hudson River, including one fatal crash, are causing major delays for motorists Friday.

A stretch of southbound I-87 is closed near Exit 14B in Suffern after an accident with two fatalities involving one tractor trailer, two box trucks and another vehicle, state police said. The accident occurred around 10 a.m.

Preliminary investigation revealed one of the vehicles was traveling northbound, crossed over into southbound traffic causing the collision, state police said.

All southbound traffic is being diverted at Exit 15, to Route 17 South.  The accident is still under investigation, state police said.

The left lane of southbound I-87 in Greenburgh is blocked at Saw Mill River Road (Exit 7) after a 9:40 a.m. accident.

Route 120 at Anderson Hill Road in Purchase is blocked after fallen power cables in an incident reported at 10 a.m.
