West Harrison Resident's Art on Display at Library

HARRISON, N.Y. - West Harrison resident Rayna Sassano will see her artwork featured next week in a Harrison Library art exhibit presented by the Harrison Council for the Arts.

Sassano's work, "Illustrations from the Elves of Shady Elm," includes acrylic ink paintings that will be on display from Dec. 4 to Jan. 6 with an opening reception scheduled for Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.

The West Harrison native graduated from the University of Hartford with a B.A. in illustration in 2009 and is currently illustrating the work, "The Elves of Shady Elm" by Carola Cammann.

The exhibit will be available Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, residents can contact the Harrison Public Library located at 2 Bruce Ave. at (914) 835-0324 or by visiting harrisonpl.org.
