The boards will be replaced as part of $1.28 million worth of upgrades approved by the county Board of Legislators, according to lohud.com

The center hosts a number of events including musical acts and is the home court for the Knicks Development League team. The boards can be used to display messages and create revenue by streaming ads, lohud.com said.

The board work is coinciding with a number of projects looking to draw bigger acts and improve the building, which is owned by Westchester and is 85 years old. The board approved $6.1 million in January to upgrade restrooms, sound and stage lighting systems and six dressing rooms that double as locker rooms for the Knicks. In June, $2.14 million was approved for new chairs, risers and other hardware, lohud.com said.
