HARRISON, N.Y. - March is Youth Art Month in Harrison, courtesy of the Harrison Council for the Arts, and a celebration is scheduled to take over Town Hall.
Doreen Grozinger, chair of the Harrison Council for the Arts, was granted access to the municipal building on March 4 for an opening reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in which the work of local artists will be on display to celebrate. Harrison Mayor/Supervisor Ron Belmont said it was an annual event that he looked forward to.
"It's a great afternoon," Belmont said. "The artwork is on display for the entire month and makes the building look nice."
The art show includes artwork from various Harrison teenagers, some of which will be chosen by Belmont to be framed and displayed in Town Hall. Artwork will also be displayed in the Harrison Public Library at 2 Bruce Ave.
