Benjamin Janson, 74, Longtime West Harrison Resident, Army Veteran

WEST HARRISON, N.Y. - Benjamin Janson, a longtime resident of West Harrison, died Nov. 15. He was 74.

Janson was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Port Chester to Benjamin and Marie (Vaccaro) Janson. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1960. He was a teamster and member of the American Legion.

Janson is survived by his wife, Theresa (Stolfi) Janson; daughters, Kimberly (Thomas) DiMarino, Valerie (Joseph) Arcara, and Deborah (Anthony) Macchia; and five grandchildren.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at St. Anthony of Padua, 85 Harrison St., West Harrison, with Fr. Christopher Monturo officiating. Entombment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rye Brook.
