Dominick Scopelliti, 71, resident of West Harrison

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Dominick Scopelliti, a West Harrison resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 29. He was 71.

He was born in Reggio Calabra, Italy, Francesco and Maria Scopelliti.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a mason for more than 30 years and also owned a Pepperidge Farms bread route for 10 years. He was an avid bowler and loved his garden. He also enjoyed cruises and trips to St. Martin with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine, and their children, Frank and his wife, Amanda; Anthony Scopelliti and his fiancée, Renee; his sisters, Rina Evangelista, Franca Aversa and Rose Carone; his brother Louie. and his granddaughter Ava Rose.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
