Dominick Scopelliti, 71, West Harrison Resident

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Dominick Scopelliti, a West Harrison resident, died on Sept. 29. He was 71. 

Scopelliti was born Oct. 2, 1943 in Reggio Calabra, Italy to the late Francesco and Maria Scopelliti. Dominick was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Vietnam. On August 31, 1969 he married Josephine Fucale at Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains. He was a mason working for over 30 years and also owned a Pepperidge Farms bread route for 10 years.

Besides his wife Josephine of W. Harrison, he is survived by his children, Frank (Amanda) Scopelliti of Thornwood, Anthony Scopelliti and his fiancée, Renee of W. Harrison; his sisters, Rina Evangelista, Franca Aversa, Rose Carone, all of W. Harrison; his brother, Louie Scopelliti of Fairfield, Conn.; and a granddaughter, Ava Rose Scopelliti.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 5-9 p.m. at McMahon-Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
