Dorothy Brandi, 95, Of Harrison

HARRISON, N.Y. – Dorothy Brandi, a Harrison resident, died on Friday, Feb. 27. She was 95.

Brandi was born to Victor and Teresa Malozzi in the Bronx

She married Anthony Brandi in 1943.

She earned her teaching degree at Hunter College, retiring from P.S. 112 in Bronxwood after 30 years at the school, the last 15 as assistant principal.

Brandi was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, the first chairperson of the Harrison Environmental Committee, and a member of the Charles Dawson History Center, Garden Club, and Quilting Club.

She was predeceased by her husband and daughter Louise Young, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her son Frank and his wife Lonnie, son-in law Tom, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister Veronica Mastrangelo.

Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home. There will be a mass of Christian burial Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church.

Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla.
