HARRISON, N.Y. – Dr. Ronald V. Citarella of Harrison died June 19. He was 75.
Citarella worked as a microbiologist for Lederle Laboratories in New City, N.Y. for many years.
Born Dec. 17, 1936, he was the son of Nicholas and Rose Bommarito Citarella. A U.S. Army veteran, Citarella graduated from Fordham University. He also did research at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Georgetown University.
Citarella is survived by two brothers Richard (Theresa) Citarella and Dennis (Agneta) Citarella; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Citarella and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert, in 2007.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
