HARRISON, N.Y. - Evelyn F. O'Connor, a longtime resident of Harrison and Heritage Hills, died July 15. She was 93.
O’Connor was born in Harrison to Anthony and Adeline Capio. She graduated from Harrison public schools. She worked for several years as personnel director at Dictaphone Corporation in Rye. For the last four years she lived at the Atria in Ardsley..
O’Connor is survived by her daughter, Patricia O'Connor Saich (William); four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Diefenbach, Alice O'Connor, Marion Day and Anne Fraioli; and an extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas O'Connor.
Calling hours are Thursday, July 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 19 at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Dobbs Ferry.
Memorial contributions may be made in O’Connor’s name to the Calvary Hospital, Bronx.
