HARRISON, N.Y. – Gaetano Troiano, 92, of West Harrison, died Monday, May 25.
He was born Oct. 15, 1922, in Italy, to Angelarose DiMarino and Rocco Troiano. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
For 29 years until his retirement Jan. 1, 1987, Troiano was the owner of T & T Deli on Lake Street in White Plains, and was a member of the Italian American Club and the Mutual Club in West Harrison.
He married Anna Cipriano in Mount Vernon, on Feb. 1, 1948. She died in 2000.
Troiano is survived by his sons, Rocco (Jacqueline), Nicholas (Rose Marie) and Joseph (Carine) Troiano; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Nick Troiano; and his sisters Catherine DiMarino and Mary Delfico; .
Visitation is Monday, from 5-9 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 85 Harrison St, Harrison. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
