HARRISON, N.Y. - Helen Elizabeth Thalacker of Harrison died December 3. She was 80.
Thalacker was born Feb. 13, 1933, in Yonkers; daughter of Helen Graf and Arthur Thalacker. She attended schools in Yonkers, Burlington, Vt., Mobile, Aa., and Harrisburg, Pa. She was employed for 45 years with the Equitable Life Assurance Co. in Harrisburg, Pa., Pittsburgh, Pa., and then in New York City before retiring in 1996. She was a member of All Saints Church in Harrison from 1975 where she served as a lay eucharistic minister, a Sunday school teacher and on the altar guild. Upon retiring, she volunteered weekly at the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen in lower Manhattan, and also helped deliver Harrison's Meals on Wheels.
Thalacker is survived by her cousin, Frederick (Catherine) Isler; and numerous second and third cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Sunday, Dec. 29 at All Saints Church, Harrison. Interment will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa.
