Joan G. Shuttleworth, 80, Worked With Gannett Newspapers In Harrison

VALHALLA, N.Y. - Joan G. Shuttleworth of Valhalla died Sept.13. She was 80.

Shuttleworth was born Dec.24, 1932, to Adelard and Anne (nee Harrigan) Gadbois in Bloomfield, N.J. She was a retired systems clerk with Gannett Newspapers in Harrison.

Shuttleworth is survived by her children, James W. III (Sandra) of LaGrange, and Jane (Roger, Jr.) Abbate of Valhalla; sister, Helen Unwin of Rhode Island.; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, James W. Shuttleworth.

Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Hawthorne Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at the New Bedford Rural Cemetery in New Bedford, Mass.
