John Delzio, 92, Harrison WWII Veteran

HARRISON, N.Y. – John Delzio of Harrison died Monday, Nov. 12. He was 92.

Born May 17, 1920, in Bridgeport, Conn., he was the son of Gerardo and Lucia Beluscio Delzio. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Harrison Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Harrison Volunteer Fire Department.

Delzio is survived by four children, Jerry (Carla) Delzio, Lucille (Carl) Lambiasi, Mimi (Max) Dreckmann and Patty (Michael) Sheehy; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Esther; and three brothers, Frank, Michael and Henry.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
