June Ricci, 79, Owned West Harrison Hardware Store

WEST HARRISON, N.Y. – June Franzese Ricci died Feb. 1 in her sleep at her West Harrison home. She was 79.

Ricci was born July 11, 1933, in Owego, N.Y., to Joseph and Celia Franzese. She and her husband, Albert "Bert" Ricci, owned the Silver Lake Hardware Store in West Harrison for 36 years, along with her son, Gregory.

Prior to working at the hardware store, Ricci worked at Nestlé in White Plains.

In addition to her husband of 55 years and her son Gregory (Diana), of West Harrison, survivors are a son-in-law, Jim Weinberg, of Connecticut; and two grandchildren.

Ricci is also survived by three brothers, Gene, Joseph and Allan Franzese; a sister, Dawn Franzese Rife; and many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle Weinberg.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m.
