Mamaroneck Native Patricia Ann Simmons Dies While Scuba Diving

Patricia Ann Simmons (nee) Ferraro, a native of Westchester, died while scuba diving in Florida on Thursday, Aug. 3. She was 65 years old.

A Mamaroneck native who relocated to Teaneck, NJ, Simmons was a registered nurse for 44 years and retired in 2016. She worked at the ECCR in Wyckoff for 34 years.

She was an avid scuba diver and loved to travel the islands. She considered herself a die-hard Yankee & Rangers fan, was well-known for her meatballs and lasagna and loved to cook "to feed an army."

Visitation will be Wednesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Volk Leber Funeral Home in Teaneck.

Services will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
