Marian Calandruccio, 97, Longtime Harrison Resident

HARRISON, N.Y. – Marian Carpiniello Calandruccio, a longtime Harrison resident, died Jan. 5. She was 97.

Calandruccio was born Jan. 10, 1915, in Mamaroneck to Vincenzina and Michael Yannuzzi (Yans). She was employed as a cafeteria worker for Harrison Schools for more than 20 years.

She was a member of the Harrison Senior Citizens and participated in many functions. She enjoyed cooking traveling and her family.

Calandruccio is survived by two sons, Dr. Victor Carpiniello, of Philadelphia, and Anthony Carpiniello, of Dennisport, Mass.; a brother, Michael Yans, of Mallots Bay, Vt.; five granddaughters and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Victor Carpiniello, in 1952; her second husband, Anthony Calandruccio, in 2004; and five siblings, Edward Yans, Joseph Yans, Frank Yans, Molly Lanza and Jane Knowles.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Most Holy Trinity Church in Mamaroneck. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Chester.
