Mary Peterson, 97, Longtime Harrison Resident

HARRISON, N.Y. – Mary Louise Peterson, a longtime Harrison resident, died Oct. 12 after a brief illness. She was 97.

Born Dec. 22, 1914, Peterson enjoyed reading and keeping abreast of the news. A longtime employee of the Bank of New York, she was active politically until just recently, her family said.

Peterson was predeceased by her husband, J. Frank Peterson; two sisters, Josephine Reilling Mellor and Caroline Reilling O'Connell; and three brothers, Charles Reilling, Archie Reilling and William Reilling.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at St. Gregory's Church in Harrison. Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck handled arrangements.
