WEST HARRISON, N.Y. Ruth Van Scoy, formerly of West Harrison, died Sept. 9 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Fla. She was 91.
Van Scoy was born April 7, 1921, in White Plains. She lived in West Harrison before moving to Vero Beach in 2010. She retired from E. Robison Inc. in Hartsdale and continued to work part time at I.C.E.C. in White Plains until the age of 82.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Magee and Donald Magee; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Anthony Magee; and her husband, Walter Van Scoy.
A memorial celebration will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Isles of Vero Beach Magnolia Room. Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach.
