Charges Dropped Against Al Pirro In Greenwich Case

GREENWICH, Conn. — The case against Albert Pirro, ex-husband of former Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, was dropped Tuesday in Stamford Superior Court, an official there said. He was arrested in a domestic abuse incident in June in Greenwich.

Pirro, 65, was arrested at the J-House Hotel after he was accused of grabbing a women’s wrist and shaking her, and not allowing her to leave, police said at the time of the arrest. Police were called because the argument had alarmed other guests at the hotel, and appeared to be getting worse.

He was charged with misdemeanor second-degree unlawful restraint, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Pirro was originally released on a promise to appear.
