HARRISON, N.Y. A Yonkers woman was pulled over by a Harrison police officer who said she was speeding and then was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said.
The woman was driving 64 mph on Oct. 6 on a stretch of Mamaroneck Avenue where the speed limit is 40 mph, police said.
While obtaining her drivers license and registration, the officer smelled an odor of marijuana emanating from the car, according to the police report.
The officer said the woman admitted there was a bag of marijuana in the car. Police said it later was found in the center console.
She is due Oct. 23 in Harrison Town Court.
