The student tried to climb a fence near the Port Chester High School football field shortly after classes began Thursday, police said.
Port Chester-Rye Emergency Medical Services and Rye Brook police responded. The student was reported to be bleeding heavily.
Rye Brook Police Chief Gregory Austin said the student sustained a leg injury. The youth was transported to Westchester Medical Center, Austin said.
Caryn Furst, a spokeswoman for Port Chester schools, said, "The student received first aid at the school and an ambulance was immediately dispatched. The family was contacted right away."
