WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A 61-year-old contractor working at the Westchester County Airport was electrocuted and died Thursday afternoon.

The unidentified man, who worked for Verde Electric, was killed while conducting the final testing on lights he had installed.

Multiple police and fire departments were called shortly before 3 p.m. to the county-owned airfield, police said.

A local fire chief was reported to have called the Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office on a possible death.

Westchester County Police were the lead agency on the scene. Volunteer firefighters from Rye Brook and Port Chester were called to an airfield as were emergency medical services personnel from Rye-Port Chester.
