Police Probing String Of Connected Larcenies From Vehicles In Westchester

Detectives from the Scarsdale Police Department are on the hunt for a sticky-fingered suspect after nearly a dozen vehicles were broken into in the village.

Police received multiple reports from homeowners on Brambach Road, Brown Road, School Lane and Kent Road on Wednesday, Nov. 22, claiming that vehicles in their driveways had been entered overnight with various items and change stolen.

Among the items stolen were a pair of Crown Vintage brand women’s shoes - which were later recovered in Eastchester - loose change, personal papers, electronics and Chanel sunglasses valued at $400. In total, 10 larcenies were reported in 24 hours.

Police said that there was no damage to any of the cars involved. They have also procured video surveillance from some of the homes, which is being reviewed. The incidents are currently under investigation.
