Jahkim McGhee, 22, of 544 Locust Ave. in Port Chester pled guilty to a felony manslaughter charge on May 4, according to Westchester County Acting District Attorney James A. McCarty.
During McGhee's plea before Judge Barbara Zambelli, the defendant admitted to acting alone when he stabbed Anthony Guglielmo to death, according to McCarty.
McGhee originally faced a four-count indictment charging him in 2014 with two counts of second-degree murder, both felonies; one count of first-degree burglary, a felony; and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
McGhee was arrested for the Sept. 11, 2011, death of Guglielmo, who lived alone with his teenage daughter. McGhee faced a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison.

During 2010 and early 2011, the victim and his daughter had lived in an apartment across the street from McGhee.
About 5:30 a.m. on the Sunday that Guglielmo was found bludgeoned to death, Port Chester police received a 911 call of a burglary in progress at 235 Mortimer St. The phone call was made by the victim's 14-year-old daughter, Nicole.
Guglielmo was found lying face down in a massive pool of blood in the living room with a single stab wound to the chest, police said. The daughter told police her father had been stabbed by an intruder. A large butcher knife was found on the floor.
The girl's mother took custody of the daughter, and the teen began attending high school in Mount Vernon.
Port Chester detectives were joined in their investigation by the Westchester County Police who processed the crime scene. Police, prosecutors and investigators from the Westchester District Attorney's Office continued to press the case, developing information as to the suspect's identity.
Assistant District Attorney Perry Perrone, chief of the Homicide Bureau, and Assistant District Attorney Kerrie Williams of the Superior Court Trial Division, prosecuted the case.
