State Police Chase Suspects In Somers Car Crash By Helicopter

SOMERS, N.Y. -- A car accident in Somers led to a police chase involving helicopters after the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene Monday night, state police said.

At least four people were involved in a single-vehicle crash into property at a home on Miller Avenue on Monday night, according to State Police in Somers.

The occupants of the vehicle then fled the scene on foot, police said. Somers Police and State Police in Somers began an aerial and ground search for the occupants just after 9:30 p.m. Monday, representatives of state police said. 

At least two people were apprehended Monday night, but it was unclear whether the suspects were connected to the accident, police said. State Police were continuing the investigation into the incident.
